1. What is meant by moderator variable? Explain with few examples. State four
hypotheses and four independent variables from the following theoretical model. What
is meant by dependent variable? Identify a dependent variable from the following
theoretical model.

2. Which method will you use for testing the following hypothesis? The average number
of hours of study by students in the Topkar High School is more than the national
average of 30 hours in a week. You are further asked to analyze the data collected for
testing the theoretical model that has only one dependent variable called as behavioral
intention. The behavioral intention was measured on a Likert scale. Which three
multivariate techniques you can use to analyze this data? Which two multivariate
techniques can be used when you have only one dependent variable that is measured
on an ordinal scale? (10 Marks)

3. “Let's start writing the final project report. Let's split the report in few parts and let
each one of us should pick up one or two parts to prepare the first draft. What do you
guys think?" Anuradha was all excited as she had finished the analysis and now getting
ready to start writing the report with her team. Her team consisting of Sudarshana and
Sanjana were somewhat new to the research activity and looked upon her for guidance

from time to time. "I suggest Sudarshana should start writing the introductory section
while Sanjana can start working with the final part of the report. Let me write the body
of the report and the remaining sections. Is it ok? Anuradha checked with her team.
"YES!" came the response from both Sudarshana and Sanjana.
